Since the UK left the EU, we are able to define our own regulations on how our food is produced, how it will impact the environment and how the animals involved are cared for.
This could be a good or a bad thing. We might keep our standards high, or we might cave in to the lure of cheap antibiotic riddled American imports.
Food labels are meant to provide confidence that our food is up to par, but some of those labels are vague (or downright misleading) about what they actually do. The extra twist is that brands are introducing their own schemes and labels too.
Label Mouse attempts to explain what all these logos mean. We’ll try to keep it simple (for everyone).
